Canadian bet mechanics & rules
A full-cover wager without singles, popular internationally under both the Canadian and Super Yankee names.
Payouts are determined by multiplying the unit stake by the cumulative price of each winning selection or combination line. If any selection is scratched or declared non-runner/void, standard rules settle that leg at neutral odds of 1.00.
Worked example: Canadian bet
At $1.00 per line ($26.00 total), if all 5 selections win at 2.00, all 26 bets cash: 10 doubles ($40.00), 10 trebles ($80.00), 5 four-folds ($80.00), and 1 five-fold ($32.00), delivering $232.00 total payout ($206.00 net profit). At least 2 picks must win to see a return.
Always check bookmaker maximum payout caps and race terms before placing high-volume system bets.

CALCULATOR QUESTIONS
Canadian bet questions
How does a void leg affect a canadian bet?
When a selection is void, postponed, or scratched, that specific leg counts as a 1.00 multiplier (money returned for that leg), and the multiple bet rolls down into the remaining folds.
What is the difference between unit stake and total stake?
Unit stake is the amount wagered on each individual bet or line. Total stake equals the unit stake multiplied by the total number of bets in the multiple or system wager.
Are gambling and betting winnings taxed?
Taxation of sports betting winnings varies by country; consult your local tax authority or revenue service.
