How lenders value boats
Marine lenders usually lend a share of the boat's value, often after a survey, and consider its age, type and condition. Older boats may get a lower limit or shorter term.
Worked example
A £60,000 boat at an 80% limit could support a loan of about £48,000, meaning a £12,000 deposit.
